My Technique

My art style is strongly marked by the periods in which I lived in Hong Kong and Australia: meeting different cultures, various nationalities, customs and life philosophies has opened my eyes to a new world. My experience gained in this multicultural environment echoes in my choice of themes and merges with Central and Eastern European way of thinking to form a sensual, special, and often frivolous essence.

I make a potpourri of the subtle shimmers of the Australian aboriginals’ folk art and the rough style of modern street art and spice things up by adding just a touch of the symbolic imagery of the Hungarian folk art. I often imitate the ancient technique—and truly respect the creative discipline—of Chinese ink and wash painting with the use of brush and acrylic paint or, whenever the theme requires, use digital art program for better dramatic effect and to increase the visceral-level piquancy of the creative process.

I paint with acrylics on stretched canvas.

I usually mix art techniques when creating illustrations and graphics, e.g. I use digital art program to take free-hand drawings to the next level. These artworks are Giclée prints laminated onto canvas or hardboard in different sizes according to your notions—Giclée printing is state-of-the-art fine art printing technology.

My artworks are numbered and unique.
